Design Engineer

Proactive Personnel ltd are currently recruiting for our internationally renowned manufacturing client in the Nottingham area for an experienced Product Design Engineer.

This is working for a well known high-street brand who are market leaders in their industry.

You will:

• Be part of a multi-disciplined engineering team
• Deliver safe, reliable and cost effective products / features from conception stage to introduction
• Be responsible for planning, costing and controlling your budget
• Design and propose new and improved products
• Be point of contact for any design queries
• Demonstrate clear understanding of quality standards
• Undertake product designs to ensure a timely release of designs, engineering drawings, CAD files, specification etc.
• Co-ordinate tooling trials
• offer support and contribute in full to a functioning toolroom, maintenance and production engineering teams.

In order to be successful in this role, you must:

• Have an HNC in an engineering discipline / environment
• Have excellent communication skills
• Be a capable and experienced hands on engineer fully conversant with Solidworks or alternative product management design software.
• Be fully conversant with production and tool design
• Ability to contribute to a project team, unafraid to challenge ‘the norm’.

This is working a 39 hour week, is a straight permanent opportunity.

In return, you can expect to earn £40,000 – £45,000 per annum.
