Energetic Designer with Control Systems experience, required for a static role to work with an advanced manufacturing system builder offering excellent earning potential. Proven design capabilities and experience with 2D and 3D CAD, coupled with a professional customer focused attitude are required for this role which will offer training and excellent progression prospects.

Outline of a Design Engineer;

  • Working within a team of three Control Systems engineers to produce detailed control system designs of investment casting equipment to customer specification as part of a total group of 16 engineers (7 Mechanical, 4 Electrical and 5 Software)

Duties of a Design Engineer;

  • Detailed Design and development of Automation Control Systems and Equipment (existing product range)
  • Concept and detailed design of new Automation Control Systems and Equipment
  • Detailed design of robotic / computer / control systems interfacing
  • Systems engineering of electro mechanical equipment
  • Robot and control system programming and configuration
  • Creation of technical specifications / documentation for the selection and development of equipment
  • Working to product design standards
  • Working to departmental design procedures
  • Provide internal technical product support

The requirements of a Design Engineer;

  • Minimum level of HNC education. B.Eng / M.Eng Electrical, Electronics or Mechatronic degree (advantageous) qualification
  • 1-3 years Control Systems Design experience
  • 1-3 years CAD Experience 2D and 3D
  • Ability to effectively present design solutions
  • Self disciplined approach to achieve engineering deadlines and objectives
  • Problem Solving, both as part of a team and individually
  • Strong written communication skills
