Electrical Fitter

This is an opportunity to join a successful, growing manufacturing company in Telford. The position is ideal for a hardworking Electrical Fitter who is looking to expand their existing knowledge and skills within a manufacturing environment. *Please note that this role includes worldwide travel 4-6 times per year for periods of 10-14 days.*

Outline of a Electrical Fitter;

  • Working as part of a team to build electrical systems and equipment from detailed engineering drawings, at our manufacturing facilities and at customer locations worldwide

Duties & Responsibilities of an Electrical Fitter;

  • Construction of electrical systems and equipment following engineering drawings
  • Testing, fault-finding and diagnostics of electrical equipment
  • Installation of systems and equipment at customer locations worldwide
  • Ability to work as part of a team but also on own initiative
  • To be able to prioritise and work to given timescales
  • To adhere to the company policies and procedures
  • To ensure quality standards are met

Skills & Experience of and Electrical Fitter;

  • Hands-on experience of electrical equipment assembly or machine building
  • Fault-finding and diagnostics skills
  • Have sound knowledge of manufacturing processes

Qualifications needed;

  • City & Guilds qualification in Engineering discipline / apprentice trained

  • Self-motivated and able to use initiative in prioritising tasks
  • Keen to accept responsibility and accountability
  • Professional manner, able to represent the company to a high standard
  • Good communication skills
  • Must be able to travel worldwide and work overtime when required
  • Self-driven for progressive and continued learning and development
  • Full driving licence
  • MEWP qualification advantageous, training provided
  • Basic tool kit required, supplemented by company tool allowance scheme
