Fitter Fabricator

This is an opportunity to join a successful, growing manufacturing company in Telford. The position is ideal for a hardworking Fitter Fabricator who is looking to expand their existing knowledge and skills within a manufacturing environment.

Outline of a Fitter Fabricator;

  • To work as part of a dedicated team to manufacture equipment for investment casting systems from detailed engineering drawings

Duties & Responsibilities of a Fitter Fabricator;

  • Preparation and fabrication of metal components for machine assembly
  • Working to concise engineering drawings and production timescales
  • Set up and operate fabricating machines which may include; Press brake, guillotine, punch, saw, drills and welding machines
  • Utilising fabrication machinery to bend, cut, punch and otherwise form and assemble welded metal components
  • Use of hand tools such as, drilling, grinding and finishing
  • To adhere to the company policies and procedures

Skills & Experience of a Fitter Fabricator;

  • Proven fabrication skills
  • Proven welding skills
  • Have sound knowledge of mechanical manufacturing processes

Qualifications of a Fitter Fabricator;

  • NVQ qualification / Apprentice trained
  • Proven extensive experience

  • Professional manner, able to represent the company to a high standard
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to travel worldwide

  • Full driving licence
