Purchasing Co-Ordinator

A new opportunity has become available for a Purchasing Co-ordinator to join an established steel stockholding business in Wednesbury. As the Purchasing Co-ordinator you will have the responsibility to maintain stocks of standard items in accordance with set allowances. Benefits include free onsite parking and a subsidised canteen.

The Job Role:

  • Manage Inventory to maximise stock availability whilst working within stock allowance targets.
  • Continually improve the standard of service provided to every customer.
  • Develop supplier relationships to ensure maximum flexibility, co-operation and favour.
  • Obtain and communicate any relevant purchasing/market information to the Purchasing Team Manager.
  • Maintain purchasing information and data.
  • Temporary to Permanent, Monday – Friday 9am-5pm (35 hours), Up to £25,000 depending on experience

Experience / Requirements:

  • Previous experience within a similar role is essential
  • Must have Excel skills – using pivot tables / V Look Ups
  • Experience of delivering high quality customer service.
  • Demonstrate the ability to process high volumes of numeric data and information to ensure accuracy and precision.
  • The ability to achieve results in a target driven environment.
