QA Process Development Technician

Proactive Personnel are currently searching for a QA Process Development Technician for a large international pharmaceutical and health care manufacturer at their site in Oldham. This is a contract position that will be minimum 6 months with a potential to be extended.

Purpose of the role:

Support and identify continuous opportunities across the Oldham site i.e. Quality System, Production processes and systems. Other work includes raw material and finished product testing (This is Physical properties testing, not chemical analysis), handling customer complaint investigations, root cause investigations, validation of products and processes and carrying out internal audits. Helping to facilitate the completion of CAPAs and deviations. Assist with finished product release.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Supporting and identifying continuous improvement opportunities. The Quality Improvement Team needs to Focus on improvement as it’s main task.
  • Validation protocol and report writing
  • Handling factory investigation for customer complaints
  • Participating in Trials
  • Reporting test results (Physical properties testing as above, not Chemical Analysis)
  • Releasing finished products
  • CAPA investigations /Supplier CAPA investigation
  • Testing products (Physical properties testing as above, not Chemical Analysis)


Capabilities, experience and qualifications desired:

  • Knowledge of continuous improvement tools and techniques (desirable)
  • Knowledge of process /product Validation (desirable)
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 / ISO13485 and GMP (desirable)
  • Problem solving and root cause analysis skills (desirable)
  • Trained internal auditor (desirable)
  • Good attention to detail
  • Report writing skills
  • Checking documentation and reporting errors
  • IT skills – Word and Excel, MRP systems
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement tools and techniques (desirable)
  • Internal auditor ISO9001/ ISO13485 (desirable)
  • cGMP training (desirable)
  • English and Mathematics to at least GCSE standard or equivalent
  • Root cause Analysis Skills (desirable)
  • Quality Qualification (desirable)

Working hours – 07:45 – 17:00 Monday – Thursday, 07:45-11:45 Friday

Salary circa £23,000pa

Weekly pay

28 days holiday including BH, this will increase to 33 days after 12 weeks continuous work.
