Quality Engineer

Proactive Personnel Ltd are currently recruiting for an experienced Quality Engineer with experience in precision engineering.

£28,000 – £38,500 depending on experience.

Hours Mon – Thurs 08:00 – 13:00 13:30 – 17:00 Fri 08:00 – 13:00

• Inspection (first off and final inspection) of machined components using conventional metrology equipment and coordinate measuring machines.
• Preparation of components for dispatch to customers. This will involve manual finishing (de-burring/polishing) so that components are presented in the right condition to be incorporated in to customers’ product.
• Maintaining records and following procedures as per the Company’s ISO9001 quality system.
• Preparation of FAIR reports.
• Experience programming and operating an Aberlink CNC CMM would be a distinct advantage.

Requirements:-

• Fully experienced in the use of conventional metrology equipment and CNC coordinate measuring machines.
• Experience of working within an ISO9001 or AS9100 environment
• The ideal candidate will have specific experience in a Precision Machining environment
• Good appreciation of mechanical engineering principles and have a fine eye for detail.
