Sales Support Coordinator

Proactive Personnel are currently searching for a Sales Support Coordinator for an international chemical manufacturing company at their office based in Runcorn. This is a great opportunity for a driven individual to join a rapidly growing company,

Position summary:

The Sales Support Coordinator is responsible for being the interface between the commercial sales teams and the manufacturing site. The purpose of the role is to simplify and speed up the flow of information and support to the commercial teams as well as feeding the site with commercial information needed to increase or simplify productivity. You will need to develop a deep knowledge of the product ranges and processes and will be closely aligned to the commercial teams to understand their needs and the needs of the customer. Some direct customer interaction is to be expected and so a commercial mind-set will be needed.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

  • Be the bridge between Account Managers and Manufacturing site
  • Simplify the flow of commercial information by being the “one point of contact” for company products
  • Support Account Managers with product quotations/costs
  • Compile and share product demand from sales teams to procurement/planning
  • Manage sample request creation and follow-up
  • Support demand planning for solution manufacture
  • Provide input on customer prioritisation to direct production runs
  • Handle Sales Agent enquiries across Europe and Asia

Ancillary Tasks:

  • Execute any additional tasks as required
  • Attend training as required
  • Assist other employees as necessary
  • Ensure health and safety standards are maintained at all times
  • Maintain workspace in a neat and tidy fashion
  • Participate and contribute in site projects as required


  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in technical sales position
  • Minimum degree qualification in a Chemistry or related subject (pref higher degree) and/or Sales

  • Encouraging to team and staff; able to mentor and lead
  • Self-motivated and self-directed
  • Excellent interpersonal relationship skills
  • In-depth understanding of company key initiatives
  • Eager to expand the company with new sales
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be a listener, a presenter, and a people-person
