Proactive Personnel's response to tackling modern slavery in the UK

Stronger Together Business Partners, 2022

Proactive Personnel is continuing with its commitment to combatting Modern Slavery by renewing its Business Partner status with Stronger Together. The  multi-stakeholder business led initiative aims to reduce modern slavery particularly within forced labour, human trafficking and other hidden third party exploitation.

Stronger Together offer invaluable support to all business sectors on how to spot the signs and support workers who are victims of this ongoing and lucrative crime. Resources range from online training courses to multi language information documents & posters to ensure we reach out to all of the current UK workforce regardless of origin.

“Each one of the 40 million people trapped in modern slavery today is a person, like you and I, and we must individually and collectively take responsibility to bring an end to this great human rights abuse. I truly believe that responsible businesses hold the key to effecting this global change.” David Camp, Programme Lead, Stronger Together

Proactive Personnel have implemented the core values and procedures recommended by Stronger Together and in order to gain Business Partner status, these have been evidenced and uploaded to the Stronger Together website.

Kerry Chapman, Regional Director covering Operations and Compliance says,

“All our staff receive Modern Slavery Training from their initial Induction and on an annual update basis. We have several staff members who have completed training with Stronger Together so that we can support our clients with their own due diligence in the supply chain. Particular focus is on Gang Master Licence clients who historically work in sectors where Modern Slavery is most active. We are proud to offer advice and support to help raise awareness to both clients and workers to put a stop to modern slavery.”
