Outline:
We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for a HR Assistant to cover a variety of administration duties pertaining to a variety of personnel related duties.
You will be based within the centralised division of a well established company based in Wolverhampton, working directly for the HR Manager. You will support daily HR administration work and related activities such as coordinating and updating HR policies, processes and relevant documents for the company and employees. Cover for the busy reception desk may be required on occasions.
The Job Role:
- Assisting with day-to-day operations of the HR functions and duties
- Providing clerical and administrative support to Human Resources Manager
- Providing cover for the busy reception as required
- Compiling and updating employee records (hard and soft copies)
- Updating and maintaining employee files and the HR filing system in accordance with legislation & GDPR
- Processing documentation and preparing reports relating to personnel
- Coordinating and preparing for meetings, training events etc. and taking minutes if required
- Assisting with dealing with employee issues in a confidential manner
- Coordinating communication with potential candidates during recruitment and scheduling interviews
- Preparing induction packs of newly hired employees
Experience / Requirements:
- PC literate (MS Office packages)
- Excellent administration and organisational skills
- Confident and personable
- Discreet and an awareness of confidentiality
- Strong written and verbal communications skills
- Experience in a Human Resources/administrative position is an advantage but not essential
- Previous experience of working in reception is desirable
- A working knowledge and understanding of GDPR desirable
- CIPD qualified
