Production Planner - Maternity Cover (12 Months)

Outline:

Are you an experienced Production/Supply Chain Planner seeking a contract role in Telford? I am seeking a confident, proactive and solution-driven Production Planner to join a well-established and growing Manufacturing business on a 12-14 month FTC to cover Maternity.

The Job Role:

• Assist the Purchasing and Supply Chain function to deliver optimum value through the effective use of resources
• Working effectively with the sales and production departments to ensure continuity in material resource and customer delivery expectations are reached
• Utilise systems to translate sales forecasts into achievable production plans
• Attend daily production meetings
• Raise contracts, work orders and BOMs
• Management of production schedule
• Analyse sales report on a daily basis to identify changes and additions and amend jobs in the plan where possible/practical to achieve customer service and stock targets
• Work closely with the Materials Controller to ensure availability of the right material specifications to meet the production plan
• Champion ongoing proactive communication with the operations teams and sales teams to ensure accurate exchange of information

Experience / Requirements:

• Ideally with 2 years experience in a Supply Chain function and 1 year in a production planning role within a manufacturing business
• Experience in a fast paced seasonal environment/FMCG knowledge
• Excellent organisational and communication skills and a proactive approach to regular coordination with fellow departmental teams
• Advanced working knowledge of Excel, including vlookups, pivot tables etc and a clear and logical thinker
