PLANNING / PRODUCTION MANAGER (MANUFACTURING / CNC)

Proactive Personnel Ltd are proud to be representing this national manufacturing company with their search for Planning  / Production Manager to be based in their facility in Skelmersdale.

THE ROLE

• Production of daily / weekly production plan
• To effectively communicate the production plan through departments to ensure project delivery in full and on time.
• Day to day supervision of productive staff
• To ensure the productive teams work to plan and agreed OEE targets.
• To ensure the daily output is monitored within all productive areas and agreed targets are achieved, and correct any shortfalls were required.
• To facilitate training of operatives within the production function and control of training process/documentation.
• Ensure Quality systems and procedures are met within the factory and comply with the required standard.
• Ensure Health and safety systems and procedures are met within the factory. 
• To attend and participate in daily Operational meetings.
• To support management in continually improving processes and procedures within the production work areas.
• Management cover for holidays etc ( when required / requested )
• To attend quality and SHE monthly meetings as required

THE CANDIDATE

• The successful candidate will ideally be experienced in a manufacturing, mechanical or materials discipline with extensive knowledge of a process manufacturing environment as well as CNC fabrication.
• You will also possess the following skills - leadership, time management, be analytical in your approach, budget control and strong communication both written and verbal. Ideally you will have worked in a machine shop, fabrication, material processing or similar environment.
• The usual KPI's expected of a Production Manager will apply including waste reduction, quality improvement and on time delivery.
• We are looking for a strategic thinker who can incorporate maintenance plans to their production plan, up skill current team members, create and execute a plan, work to set objectives, coaching & developing his / her team to overcome any areas of difficulty.
